MOSCOW, October 3 – Novosti. Finance Ministers of the Russian Federation and Belarus Anton Siluanov and Yuri Seliverstov signed an agreement on general principles of taxation of indirect taxes between Russia and Belarus.
The document was signed following the talks between the heads of government of the two countries , Mikhail Mishustin and Roman Golovchenko . The talks discussed key issues of Russian-Belarusian trade and economic cooperation in the financial, energy, industrial, transport and agricultural fields, as well as the subject of integration cooperation within the framework of the Union State of Russia and Belarus.
Mishustin called the agreement on the general principles of taxation of indirect taxes an important document, noting that it establishes mutual obligations to transfer tax information to a single integrated information system for the administration of indirect taxes, determines minimum tax rates, and lays the foundation for the formation of a supranational tax committee of the Union State.
“This is a big step forward towards deepening integration in the Union State,” he said.
This year, Mishustin and Golovchenko held talks on February 24 in Nur-Sultan , on June 20 in Minsk and on August 21 in Cholpon-Ata, on the sidelines of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, and also on March 14 in Moscow .
