SIMFEROPOL, October 3 – Novosti. Russian troops destroyed two battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which broke through near Dudchany with the intention of capturing Novaya Kakhovka and the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, head of the administration of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo said on the air of Solovyov Live.
“From the north, they managed to break through to the territory of the region. There is such a settlement – Dudchany. They rushed to Dudchany, so that later they could go downstream to the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. <…> The breakthrough did not last very long, when aviation began to work, it turned out so that a lot of Ukrainian armored vehicles were destroyed, as well as personnel. <…> They defeated almost two battalions that were coming from Dudchan, they wanted to get to the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station,” he said.
Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24 . Vladimir Putin called its task “the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.” According to him, the ultimate goal is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee the security of Russia itself.
Vladimir Putin and the heads of the four regions on September 30 in the Kremlin signed international treaties on the admission of the DPR , LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into Russia.
