On Monday, the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council will consider agreements with the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions on the inclusion of regions into the Russian Federation, signed in the Kremlin on September 30, said Committee Chairman Andrey Klishas.
According to him, the senators have no doubts about their constitutionality.
“Today, the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation will preliminarily consider and give opinions on four agreements signed in the Kremlin on September 30. The agreements have gone through the procedure of consideration in the Constitutional Court of Russia, and we have no doubts about their constitutionality,” Klishas wrote in his Telegram channel.
As for the laws on the entry of four new regions into Russia, they will be considered by the committee after their approval in the State Duma, the senator specified.
On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in the Kremlin following the results of referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, after which he signed agreements with their heads on the admission of regions into Russia.
