MOSCOW, October 3 – Novosti. The anti-Russian policy of Vilnius can finally spoil relations between Russia and Lithuania, Vladimir Dzhabarov, first deputy head of the international committee of the Federation Council, told Novosti on Monday.
Earlier, Charge d’Affaires of the Russian Federation in Lithuania Sergey Ryabokon was declared persona non grata in this country.
“This can completely spoil our bilateral relations,” the politician said.
He also did not rule out that Lithuania could provoke a break in diplomatic relations between the countries. “It’s possible, but it would be a big mistake,” Jabarov said.
He also noted that relations can be destroyed quickly, and it will take years to restore. “Let them ask their Georgian partners what it’s like to be a neighbor with a country with which there are no diplomatic relations. You can break it off quickly, but they can’t restore it for how many years,” he said.
