MOSCOW, October 3 – Novosti. The Russian Ministry of Defense published a video showing the arrival of the first units with mobilized Russian military personnel in the Luhansk People’s Republic. The video is available on the agency’s Telegram channel.
“Boys, we are very happy that you and we are together now. We are very happy. I am personally very happy. Low bow to all of you,” one of the local residents told the fighters.
“The fact that you come in such a mood, give us your smiles, we are glad, we know that you didn’t come in vain,” one of the soldiers answered her.
In Russia, by decree of the head of state, from September 21, partial mobilization was announced. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu , a total of 300,000 reservists will be called up, which is just over one percent of the country’s total mobilization resource.
The Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff added that, according to the law, citizens from privates and sergeants under the age of 35, junior officers – up to 50 years old, senior officers – up to 55 years old are subject to conscription for military service.
