Kyiv has applied for inclusion of Odessa in the list of cultural heritage of UNESCO

MOSCOW, 4 Oct – Novosti. Ukraine is applying for inclusion of Odessa in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List under an accelerated procedure, said the Minister of Culture Alexander Tkachenko.
“We have prepared and are submitting a dossier for the inscription of Odessa on the main list of the UNESCO world cultural heritage under the accelerated procedure. The inclusion of Odessa on the main list of the UNESCO world cultural heritage guarantees significant international attention to its conservation and will better protect the world cultural heritage,” Tkachenko wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to him, now the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry will submit the dossier for consideration and approval by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.
