Mutual trade between the Russian Federation and Belarus increased by five percent over the seven months of 2022, by the end of the year the countries may surpass the record of last year, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said in a video message to the participants of the Frontiers of the Union State forum.
“Over the seven months of this year, we managed to increase mutual trade by five percent. It has already exceeded twenty-two billion dollars. We hope that by the end of December we will surpass the historical record of last year, which amounted to thirty-eight and a half billion. Behind these figures is an increase in production capabilities both countries, creating jobs and increasing the incomes of our citizens,” Mishustin said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko met in Sochi . The heads of state discussed the situation in the region, economic issues, and the construction of the Union State.
