
MOSCOW, October 4 – Novosti. The majority of Russians (75%) reacted positively to the entry of the DPR, LPR of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into Russia, 77% believe that the referenda in these regions were fair, according to the results of a survey by VTsIOM.
According to the study, 52% of Russians reacted positively to the entry of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into Russia, 23% – rather positively. 5% of respondents leaned towards a negative answer, 6% of citizens gave a definitely negative answer, 12% were indifferent.
Thus, 43% of Russians believe that the referendums on the issue of joining the Russian Federation in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions were unconditionally fair, another 34% believe that it was rather honest, 5% answered that it was rather dishonest, and 6% – definitely not fair.
80% of citizens are well aware that the referendums were held, 16% heard about these events, 4% heard for the first time during the survey.
Referendums on the entry of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Russian Federation were held on September 23-27. According to the results of processing 100% of the ballots in the DPR, 99.23% of those who voted for joining the Russian Federation, in the LPR – 98.42%, in the Kherson region – 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region – 93.11%. On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in the Kremlin following the results of referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, after which he signed agreements with their heads on the admission of regions into Russia.
The all-Russian telephone survey “VTsIOM-Sputnik” was conducted on October 1 among 1600 citizens over 18 years old. The data are weighted by socio-demographic parameters. The marginal error with a probability of 95% does not exceed 2.5%.
