MOSCOW, October 6 – Novosti. The press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov commented on Elon Musk’s statement that the inhabitants of the eastern regions of Ukraine, where Russians are the majority, prefer Russia, calling it a statement of reality.
“This is a statement of reality, rather. Because this is a really real state of affairs. And indeed, in the east of Ukraine, from time immemorial, a population that was Russian speakers has lived,” Peskov said, answering a question from journalists whether Musk’s statement could influence public opinion and political forces.
He added that those people who are capable of thoughtful processing of information and are capable of analysis are “a statement of reality.”
“They come to this conclusion and they confirm it. Rather, I would take it. And there are not a few such people,” the press secretary of the head of state added.
