DONETSK, October 6 – Novosti. The building of the Donetsk enterprise “Water of Donbass” was damaged due to shelling by Ukrainian troops, the headquarters of the territorial defense of the DPR said .
“From positions in the village of Komar, the armed formations of Ukraine attacked the Proletarsky district of Donetsk using an AGM-88 HARM missile. As a result of the shelling, the building of the State Unitary Enterprise of the DPR “Water of Donbass” was damaged,” the statement published on the department’s Telegram channel says.
The AGM-88 HARM (High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile) anti-radar missile was adopted by the US Air Force in 1983. Its speed reaches 2280 kilometers per hour (630 meters per second), the range is up to one hundred kilometers when used from high altitudes. For comparison: the maximum speed of the Russian Kh-31 and Kh-58 anti-radar missiles exceeds 1000 meters per second, and the launch range is over 200 kilometers.
Since June 13, Donetsk has been subjected to numerous shellings. The blows are inflicted on practically all districts of the city, the Kiev, Petrovsky, Proletarsky and Kuibyshevsky regions suffer the most . Mayor of the city Aleksey Kulemzin called the shelling of the city on June 13 one of the fiercest in the eight years of the conflict.
