The authorities of Energodar ruled out the possibility of a breakthrough of Ukrainian militants to the ZNPP

ENERGODAR, October 7 – Novosti. A breakthrough of Ukrainian militants in the direction of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and Energodar is impossible, the Russian military is in full control of the situation, the head of the city, Alexander Volga, told Novosti.

“Regarding the breakthrough of Ukrainian militants into the territory of the city of Energodar in the direction of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the entire infrastructure that is surrounded by the nuclear power plant: this situation is considered by us, in principle, as impossible,” he said.

Any offensive actions, as Volga explained, are complicated by the presence of a water barrier – the Dnieper.
“Those combat units that are located on the protection of the city itself and the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant are always in combat condition, they are observing, and, of course, we are well aware that under such circumstances an attack or offensive is practically reduced to zero,” Volga stressed.
According to the latest data, Ukrainian troops are concentrating significant forces in the Zaporozhye direction. They continue to shell districts and cities in the north of Zaporozhye , strike at infrastructure, Yevhen Balitsky , acting governor of the region, said earlier .
On Thursday, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian military had pushed back the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the defense line in all directions.
To date, about 75% of the Zaporozhye region has been liberated. At the same time, the regional center, the city of Zaporozhye , remains under the control of Ukrainian troops .
