MOSCOW, October 9 – Novosti. Investigators opened a criminal case on the fact of shooting at policemen in the west of Moscow, said Yulia Ivanova, senior assistant to the head of the capital’s head office of the Investigative Committee.
Earlier, the press service of the capital’s head office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Novosti reported that on Sunday night on Yartsevskaya Street, an inadequate man started shooting at a police car, and then wounded a law enforcement officer. According to the police, service weapons had to be used to detain the man, the attacker was wounded, he and the injured policeman are receiving medical assistance.
According to the Investigative Committee, the suspect, born in 1968, shot at the cars and towards the policemen with shot from a smooth-bore hunting rifle.
“The investigating authorities initiated a criminal case on the grounds of crimes under Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of violence against a representative of authority) and Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism),” Ivanova said.
It is noted that the suspect was hospitalized, investigative actions will begin after the permission of the doctors.
