MOSCOW, October 9 – Novosti. The Russian Armed Forces defeated six Ukrainian columns with military equipment and manpower in the Kherson region, frustrating an attempt to concentrate enemy troops, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.
“In the area of the settlement of Novaya Kamenka, Kherson region, as a result of concentrated attacks by Russian artillery on the advancing column of the 128th mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine , an attempt to concentrate enemy troops was thwarted. Also, five columns, manpower, military equipment and artillery of Ukrainian troops were defeated in firing positions in the areas of the settlements of Chervonoe, Novovoskresenskoye and Petropavlovka in the Kherson region,” the Defense Ministry said.
The enemy in this direction lost more than 80 Ukrainian servicemen killed, two tanks, 22 armored vehicles, seven infantry fighting vehicles, a Polish Crab self-propelled artillery mount, two American M777 howitzers and four vehicles.
