Wang Yi made the announcement while speaking via video link at the opening ceremony of the Maritime Cooperation and Governance Forum.
He called on the parties concerned to properly resolve maritime conflicts through peaceful means, to respond cohesively to maritime challenges, to resolutely oppose maritime hegemony, and to work together to ensure maritime security.
In addition, Wang Yi called for the development of maritime interconnectedness, adhering to the principles of multilateralism and protecting the maritime order based on international law.
