
DONETSK, January 14 – Novosti. Ukrainian troops shelled the Donetsk People’s Republic 27 times in a day, firing 135 ammunition, according to the Telegram channel of the DPR representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC).
“Over the past 24 hours, the mission reported 27 facts of firing from the side of the VFU. In the Donetsk direction, the enemy fired 17 shells from 155, 152 and 122 mm artillery. On the Yasinovatsky direction – four shellings from the MLRS, 152 mm artillery. On the Gorlovsky direction – six shellings from artillery 155 millimeters,” the statement said.
Under fire were areas of seven settlements: Donetsk, Gorlovka, Yakovlevka, Kashtanovoe, Mineralnoe, Yasinovataya, Makeevka.
There were no reports of civilian casualties.
On the previous day, 19 shellings were recorded by Ukrainian troops.
Russia has been conducting a military special operation in Ukraine since February 24. Vladimir Putin called its task “the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.” According to the president, the ultimate goal of the operation is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee the security of Russia itself.
