MOSCOW, January 18 – Novosti. American businessman Elon Musk, who called the Davos forum “completely boring” and said he refused to go to it, was in fact not invited there, reports the Associated Press , citing the organizers of the event.
The next meeting of the World Economic Forum is held in Davos on January 16-20.
Musk tweeted on Dec. 30 that he turned down an invitation to attend the Davos Forum because it “sounded downright boring.”
Forum spokesperson Jan Zopf said the last time Musk received an invitation was “not this year and not recently – only in 2015.” He added that Musk never registered or attended the WEF, even when invited.
Musk has not yet responded to a request for comment on this information.
In December, Forbes reported that Tesla CEO, SpaceX and Twitter owner Elon Musk regained the title of the richest man on the planet shortly after losing it to French luxury goods maker LVMH (LVMH Moet Hennessy – Louis Vuitton) owner Bernard Arnault and his family. According to the list of billions, which, according to the publication, is updated “in real time”, Musk’s fortune at that time was estimated at $185.8 billion, while Arno and his family – $185.5 billion.
