
DONETSK, January 21 – Novosti. Ukrainian troops fired a total of nine NATO-caliber 155-millimeter shells in 25 minutes at the Kirovsky district of Donetsk and Yasinovataya, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) said.
“Fishes were recorded from the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (Armed Forces of Ukraine – ed.) in the following directions: 16.55 – the settlement of Galitsinovka – the city of Donetsk (Kirov district): six shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters were fired; 17.20 – the settlement of Avdiivka – the settlement of Yasinovataya: three shells were fired with a caliber of 155 millimeters,” the representative office said in a telegram channel.
Yasinovataya is located about 25 kilometers north of Donetsk and houses one of the largest railway stations in the former USSR.
Artillery with a caliber of 155 millimeters is used by NATO countries . The United States supplied Kyiv with long-range M777 howitzers with a caliber of 155 millimeters, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
