MOSCOW, September 30 – Novosti. The Kherson region became part of the Russian Federation with the liberated settlements of the Nikolaev region, the head of the regional administration Vladimir Saldo told reporters.
The southeast of the Nikolaev region is adjacent to the Kherson region, liberated by Russian troops. On September 21, on the eve of the referendum on the accession of the Kherson region to Russia, the head of the administration of this region, Vladimir Saldo, announced the inclusion of the Snigirevsky and Aleksandrovsky municipal districts into it.
“Yes, there are two settlements in the Nikolaev region,” Saldo said in response to a question whether the Kherson region was included in the Russian Federation along with the liberated settlements in the Nikolaev region.
Referendums on the question of joining Russia were held from 23 to 27 September in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics , as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions . According to the results of processing 100% of the ballots in the DPR , 99.23% of those who voted for joining the Russian Federation, in the LPR – 98.42%, in the Kherson region – 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region – 93.11%.
