
MOSCOW, September 30 – Novosti. Canada, after accepting the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into Russia, imposes sanctions against 35 representatives of these regions, the Canadian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
“Canada is imposing (sanctions) measures against … 35 Russia-backed high-ranking officials from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions,” the foreign ministry said in a press release.
It is noted that in the Russian-controlled areas of Kherson and Zaporozhye regions , “certain business transactions” such as investments and exports are now prohibited. Similar measures were previously taken against Donbass, the ministry added.
According to the published list of sanctions, restrictive measures are also being introduced against the Kherson Rescue Committee “For Peace and Order”, which cooperates with the Russian Federation.
