MOSCOW, September 30 – Novosti. The Russian government intends to accelerate the resolution of issues related to the restoration of the digital infrastructure of the four annexed regions, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko told Novosti.
“The heads of digital transformation have been identified, as in all Russian regions. Planned work with them is being built. We intend to quickly address issues of infrastructure restoration in order to ensure the achievement of digital maturity indicators in these territories (four annexed regions – ed.) as soon as possible. In addition to the infrastructure issue, these are personnel and the digitalization of the economy,” Chernyshenko said.
The Deputy Prime Minister also stressed that “there is a lot of work, but we have an understanding of the action plan.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday at a ceremony in the Kremlin signed the Treaties on the admission of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions , the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics into the Russian Federation and the formation of new subjects in Russia.
Referendums on the issue of joining Russia were held from 23 to 27 September in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. According to the results of processing 100% of the ballots in the DPR, 99.23% of those who voted for joining the Russian Federation, in the LPR – 98.42%, in the Kherson region – 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region – 93.11%.
The public addressed the regional authorities with the initiative to immediately hold referendums. According to representatives of the republics and regions, joining Russia will secure their territories and restore historical justice. In their opinion, this decision is extremely necessary in the context of constant acts of terror by the Ukrainian authorities and NATO members , who supply weapons to kill civilians.
