MOSCOW, September 30 – Novosti. All the necessary procedures for the entry of new subjects into the Russian Federation will be approved by the Federation Council legislatively in an expeditious manner in the near future, said the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.
“I hope that in the coming days we will complete the officially established procedures and confirm them by the decision of the upper chamber,” she said on the air of Rossiya 24.
The speaker also noted that it is necessary to support the residents of the new regions. “This is a huge sense of responsibility for us, we must do everything now so that people in these regions feel that they are in Russia – both in everyday terms and in social terms,” the politician said.
It is important that they feel protected, she said. “We have a lot of work to do,” the speaker said.
She noted that in the regions, after the attacks of the Ukrainian troops, it is necessary to restore cities and establish a peaceful life. In addition, residents of the DPR , LPR , Kherson and Zaporozhye regions need to be conveyed that “now they are citizens of the Russian Federation, they are entitled to all social payments, benefits, everything, just like all citizens of Russia,” the legislator said.
