
MOSCOW, September 30 – Novosti. The new department for combating cybercrime was included in the structure of the central apparatus of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the corresponding decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
According to the decree, a “Department for organizing the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies” appeared in the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
Now in the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation there is a department “K”, a department for ensuring the security of persons subject to state protection, a department for interaction with civil society institutions and the media, an organizational and staff department, a control and audit department, a department for organizing an inquiry, a national central bureau of interpol and management of international cooperation.
The Decree came into force from the date of its signing.
In addition, the same decree introduces a new position – “head of the department for organizing the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.”
