MOSCOW, September 30 – Novosti. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova commented on the Telegram channel the intention of Kiev to apply for accelerated accession to NATO.
“Today everyone has chosen their own path. Bloody butchers who kill women and children go to the NATO dump. And we go to the future,” she said.
According to Zakharova, there will definitely be difficulties, because gaining height is always more difficult than falling down. At the same time, “wings historically prevent us from crawling,” she stressed.
“Forward, together, in the name of light and with God!” summed up the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Kyiv had filed an application to join NATO in an expedited manner. He made this statement after Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR , LPR , Zaporizhia and Kherson regions signed treaties on the annexation of the regions to Russia.
Referendums on the question of joining Russia were held from 23 to 27 September in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics , as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions . According to the results of processing 100 percent of ballots in the DPR , 99.23 percent of those who voted for joining the Russian Federation, 98.42 percent in the LPR, 87.05 percent in the Kherson region , and 93.11 percent in the Zaporozhye region.
The public addressed the authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics , Zaporozhye and Kherson regions with a proposal to urgently hold referendums . According to representatives of the regions, this will secure the territory and restore historical justice.
Vladimir Putin said last week that Russia would support the result of the expression of will of the inhabitants of Donbass , Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
Ukraine and Western countries have announced that they will not recognize the results of the vote. Russia, in response to a meeting of the UN Security Council, said that such a step means the manifestation of double standards by the West.
