UN, September 30 – Novosti. Gazprom is looking for possible solutions to restore the Nord Stream system, Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said via video link at a UN Security Council meeting.
“Now we have begun to look for possible solutions to restore the Nord Stream system. The timing of such work, the timing of restoring the system’s performance cannot be estimated at the moment,” Kupriyanov said.
“We can definitely say that this is a very difficult technical task,” he added.
According to him, the first steps are a physical examination of the damage sites. “In general, the situation with the breaks that occurred on the same day simultaneously on three strings of offshore gas pipelines is absolutely unprecedented. In fact , Europe is deprived of one of the key routes for obtaining the most important energy resource for an indefinite period,” he concluded.
