LUGANSK, September 30 – Novosti. The allied forces did not allow the Ukrainian military to cut off the city of Krasny Liman from the settlements of Svatovo and Kremennaya in the LPR and move closer to the Russian borders, police colonel of the Luhansk People’s Republic Vitaly Kiselev told Novosti.
He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine consider Krasny Lyman to be the last stronghold.
“In fact, their task was very simple and banal. Until today, to take over this settlement, cut off Svatovo, Kreminnaya (from Krasny Liman. – Approx. ed.) And thus move towards the Russian Federation … But they did not succeed “, the Colonel said.
Novosti correspondents visited the front line near Krasny Liman, driving along the road from Kremennaya to the village of Torskoye, and confirmed that it was under the complete control of the allied forces. Ukrainian forces have still not been able to cut off the supply road between the village and Krasny Liman. It is under fire, but it can be moved at high speed. Allied forces are moving reinforcements to the Krasny Liman area.
Earlier today, the head of the DPR , Denis Pushilin , said that Krasny Liman is now in a semicircle. At the same time, the road from Svatovo remains under the control of the allied forces, but the Ukrainian military periodically fire at it. Krasny Liman is a major railway junction that is part of the Kramatorsk agglomeration. The city was liberated at the end of May.
