From 23 to 27 September, referendums were held in the DPR and LPR , as well as in the Kherson region and the liberated territories of the Zaporozhye region on the entry of these regions into Russia as subjects of the Russian Federation. In all the regions mentioned above, the overwhelming majority of those who voted were in favor of joining the Russian Federation. President Vladimir Putin said last week that Russia would support the decision made by the inhabitants of these territories.
