Nebenzya: referendums were held in accordance with international law

UN, September 30 – Novosti. The referendums held in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions were held in full compliance with the norms and principles of international law, Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, said at a UN Security Council meeting.
“The referendums were held in full accordance with the norms and principles of international law, no matter how hard our Western opponents or even the Secretary General, who suddenly decided without a mandate to speak for the entire UN, tried to prove the opposite,” Nebenzya said.
According to him, more than a hundred international observers who followed the voting process also recognized its results as legitimate.
“Today, agreements were signed on the entry of new regions into the Russian Federation. There will be no turn back, which is imposed on us in today’s draft resolution. The Kyiv regime … pushed these regions away from itself and is to blame for what happened. No conclusions, apparently, the Maidan the authorities did not do it for themselves,” the permanent representative concluded.
