MOSCOW, September 30 – Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the historic day when they signed agreements on the accession of four new regions to Russia.
“Dear friends. Today we have a special, solemn and, without any exaggeration, a historical day in this case. The day of truth and justice,” he said at a rally-concert on Red Square, which is held in support of the results of the referendums on joining the DPR to the Russian Federation . LPR , Kherson and Zaporozhye regions .
Before that, Putin in the Kremlin signed agreements on the entry of new territories into the Russian Federation, and also held a meeting with the heads of the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
Referendums on the issue of joining Russia were held from 23 to 27 September in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. According to the results of processing 100% of the ballots in the DPR, 99.23% of those who voted for joining the Russian Federation, in the LPR – 98.42%, in the Kherson region – 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region – 93.11%.
