The reunification of the territories is the beginning of a new stage in the development of Russia, said the governor of the Tver region, Igor Rudenya, commenting on the signing of agreements on the admission of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into the Russian Federation and the formation of new subjects within the Russian Federation.
“Today, an event has taken place that cannot be overestimated – the historical reunification of the territories. We have one culture and one history. We are all inspired by what happened. I am sure that this is the beginning of a new stage in the development of our state. Today Russia is becoming a reliable support for our annexed territories,” Rudenya said.
He noted that the Tver region is making its contribution to support the sponsored Berdyansk in the Zaporozhye region .
“An agreement has been signed with the Berdyansk District. We supply construction materials, helped to collect the children of the city of Berdyansk for school. The inhabitants of the Upper Volga region made a great personal contribution to supporting the territory. Among the main areas are the repair of roads and housing and communal services, social institutions. I believe that we now have new opportunities and a new stage of cooperation. We plan to work in the direction of vocational education, training of specialists, development of culture and sports,” the head of the region noted.
The cooperation agreement between the region and the Berdyansk region was signed in August during the visit of the governor of the Tver region to the city. The agreement concerns cooperation in key areas: housing and communal services and roads, the social sphere, education and others.
