Russia does not seek the return of the USSR, Putin said

MOSCOW, September 30 – Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia does not seek to bring back the Soviet past.
“There is no Soviet Union. The past cannot be returned. And Russia does not need it today either. We are not striving for this,” Putin said during a speech in the Kremlin following the results of the referendums.
“But there is nothing stronger than the determination of millions of people who, by their culture, faith, traditions, language, consider themselves part of Russia,” he added.
