ATHENS, September 30 – Novosti. The Greek Foreign Ministry said that Greece condemns the decision “on the annexation of the Ukrainian territories occupied by the Russian armed forces (Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson) to the Russian Federation.”
“This decision is illegal, because it is a gross violation of international law, and invalid. Greece does not recognize it,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement released by the information service.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Greece continues to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine , as well as all states, as a basic principle .
The Foreign Ministry stated that it would continue to work to protect the rights of the Greek community in Ukraine.
