CHISINAU, September 30 – Novosti. Romanian President Klaus Iohannis called on all states and international organizations not to recognize the fact that the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, have joined Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday at a ceremony in the Kremlin signed the Treaties on the admission of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions , the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics into the Russian Federation and the formation of new subjects in Russia.
“The EU , including Romania, does not and will never recognize the illegal “referendums” organized by the Russian Federation in gross violation of the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine . We call on all states and international organizations to reject this illegal annexation,” Iohannis wrote on Twitter.
He noted that Romania will continue to provide economic, military, social and financial support to Ukraine.
Referendums on the issue of joining Russia were held from 23 to 27 September in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. According to the results of processing 100% of the ballots in the DPR , 99.23% of those who voted for joining the Russian Federation, in the LPR – 98.42%, in the Kherson region – 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region – 93.11%.
