They also called for a ban on the work of the organization in Russia.
“On the same day, the prosecutor decided to suspend the activities of the movement until the court considers the statement of claim,” the statement said.
The prosecutor’s office claims to have found signs of extremist activity carried out by Vesna, which is aimed at undermining security and the foundations of the constitutional order.
“The movement creates conditions for the destabilization of the social and socio-political situation in the country, forming public opinion about the need for a change of power in the Russian Federation,” the report says.
For this, according to the prosecutor’s office, Viasna uses various political technologies, including mass public events in violation of the law and the use of violence against law enforcement officials and other illegal actions.
