MOSCOW, September 30 – Novosti. The new territories have the necessary power reserve, in the event of an accident, the energy system of the Russian Federation is able to compensate for any consequences, a representative of the UES System Operator told Novosti.
“According to the available information, today the territories have sufficient reserves of their own generating capacity in order to independently provide consumption. In addition, the existing electrical connections of the territorial energy systems with each other and with adjacent territories of the Russian Federation are sufficient to compensate for the consequences of any emergency situations. We do not see the prerequisites for significant change in these circumstances,” the energy dispatcher explained.

He recalled that operational dispatch control in the electric power industry is “the sphere of unconditional implementation of existing regulatory legal acts and regulations, therefore, it will be carried out in accordance with relevant documents.” The “system operator” is ready to apply his knowledge and competence in matters of dispatch control.
Referendums on the entry of the DPR , LPR , Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into Russia were held on September 23-27. According to the results of processing 100% of the ballots in the DPR, 99.23% of those who voted for joining the Russian Federation, in the LPR – 98.42%, in the Kherson region – 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region – 93.11%.
On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions signed agreements on the annexation of regions to Russia and the formation of new subjects within the Russian Federation.
